You deserve it pal, I say go for it and then you must post the pic to show your degenerate compadres. 😎
Whatever I wind up with - I will.

Life is way too short to sit around staring at a bank statement only - got to spend some of it on things you enjoy.

Of course also need to make sure basic needs are met first and that you’ve prepared for the future - but nothing wrong with having a little fun with your money - especially when you can keep your investment/Daily Cash separate from your money to have fun with.

Never understood some people who talk about playing and winning big - but simply never seem to get out and enjoy their winnings. I mean what’s the end game ? Used to see it all the time with these old farts down at the track - 30 year old car - to cheap to buy anything more than a hot dog and a dollar beer for lunch. They could win 100k - wouldn’t change their life a single iota - they’d be back tomorrow doing exactly the same thing. I mean I like gambling - but at a point there’s a limit on how much $ I want to have and need. The rest - I’ll piss away having a good time or helping out others.

I can't believe I missed this thread. This is a very tricky response because I am not sure of what your goal or what you exactly want. Bottom line there are so many different options and levels you can go. I am throwing out the Richard Mille types out the window, those do not apply here.

This also depends on your budget. But if you have a good amount of cash to spend, go straight for the best there is and get yourself a Patek Naut or an Aquanat but there are tons of different variations and models of these. A decent entry level Nautilus is gonna run 60-80k and an Aquanat depending the model 50-90k. Patek is what you want but if this is totally out of the ballpark then go for #2 which is an AP Royal Oak, that is one of the nicest watches ever made. There are tons of variations out there, you want to get a 41mm Royal Oak and it will run you around 35-40k, if that is still too much then go to #3 one of my favorite watches ever made and very reasonable is a Vacheron Overseas Blue dial which will run you 25k.... If you want to get cheaper then you go to an entry level Rolex but this is a last resort and if you can't afford the others..... .If you do get a Rolex, get a a 40mm Hulk (18k) or a 41mm Starbucks (14k). Do not waste your money on a cheaper Rolex, very hard to get rid of, they are a dime a dozen and hard to move, You can move Patek's , AP faster than crack. But certain model Rolex's you can move too. But if you want a classy watch and never care about flipping it or maybe turning it back into cash , you can go cheaper with a cheaper Rolex but just know hard to move and you will lose money on the generic rolexes. Look at the MSRP on the Patek's and look at the current market.

In the watch world it's like this..
You start with a Rolex then get an AP and then graduate into a Patek. It just depends on your budget and what you feel comfortable with. Check Chrono 24, for prices and

Feel free to pm me, i have some good connections for watches and I know the market . I have 1/2 my net worth in watches, I keep them in a safety deposit box and I change them from time to time, I sometimes pair down then buy more , always wheeling and dealing and I keep 1 or 2 with me.

If your going to spend big money on a watch look around and see what you really like. Personally always liked Franck Muller 18k classy without being ostentatious.
