1st PAC-12 media partner was announced last month (CBS) Now the CW has inked a deal for PAC-12 2nd media partner.

The CW is the “soon-to-be-revealed second piece” of the Pac-12’s football media rights package and will air games from 2026-31, according to sources. The CW joins CBS, which was previously announced as a league partner in June. This is “an expansion of The CW’s existing two-year relationship” with the conference. The CW’s Pac-12 broadcast team for Washington State and Oregon State football games this season “includes Ted Robinson (play-by-play), Ryan Leaf (analyst), and Nigel Burton (sideline reporter)." The Pac-12’s media rights package for 2026-2031 “will include additional components,” and sources said there “will be at least one more partner, and possibly two.” Warner Bros. Discovery “has kicked the tires on Pac-12 basketball and football” and “has been in discussions with the conference’s media consultant,” Octagon. Meanwhile, the Pac-12’s Olympic sports programs “may end up under the umbrella of ESPN’s direct-to-consumer platform”

There was nobody at the UCLA game last week programs dying

Yeah, that's why they ended up in a power conference sharing a huge TV deal.

lol

Let's not everreact to a game in which people didn't realize just how good Utah is going to be.

I had Utah to win and cover against UCLA, and yes, that's a past post but the point is that I predicted Utah to be challenging for the Big 12 title before the season began.

UCLA was just the first step to what is sure to be a strong Utah season. They borke into the rankings, we expect them to climb the rankings this year.

2 quick updates: NIU has been added as a wrestling only affiliate

Mountain West's motion to dismiss PAC-12 poaching fees lawsuit has been DENIED in Northern California federal court.

The Pac-12’s conference realignment lawsuit against the Mountain West “will proceed” after a federal judge “denied all four parts” of the Mountain West’s motion to dismiss the case. The order filed in the U.S. District Court’s Northern District of California “was a notable win for the Pac-12 but is also preliminary.” The lawsuit stems from a scheduling agreement the Mountain West, Pac-12, Oregon State and Washington State signed in late 2023 for the 2024 football season. As part of that agreement, the Pac-12 “agreed to a set of poaching fees if it added some, but not all, Mountain West schools.” Tuesday’s ruling was “highly technical” and “did not address the substance of some of the arguments”

PAC-12 has inked a 3rd media deal with USA sports

The rebuilt Pac-12 Conference announced a new television deal on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The conference which will have eight football programs in 2026, signed a five-year deal with USA Sports, the new sports branding for USA Network.

The deal, which will run through the 2030-31 season, will broadcast 22 regular season Pac-12 football games per season, along with 50 men's basketball games and 5 to 10 women's basketball games. The men's basketball tournament will also air on USA Network.

USA Sports, which was announced Nov. 11, is under the Versant media company umbrella. Versant, a publicly traded company was formally a part of Comcast and NBC Universal before spinning off.

The Pac-12 was reduced to only Washington State and Oregon State the last two seasons after teams dispersed into the Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC. Texas State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State, Utah State are full members. Gonzaga is joining for all sports besides football. Dallas Baptist will also be in the conference for baseball only, along with Northern Illinois for wrestling and Southern Utah for women's gymnastics.

"The new Pac-12 is where tradition meets transformation – a unique opportunity in the rapidly-evolving college sports landscape that strongly aligns with the go-forward vision of USA Sports," Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould said in the announcement. "We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special."

USA Sports president Matt Hong added: "USA Sports is proud to partner with the new Pac-12 and showcase the league to a national audience on USA Network. Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall."
