On offense and playing very good defense on 3rd down. Goff has zero interceptions in his last five games. 👀 Detroit Lions got more touchdowns 28 than incompletions 24 during their six game winning streak. That's very fn Impressive. 👀

If they stay healthy and continue to play like this in January. That’s the $1 million question, my educated guess would be no.

I actually disagree. Lions have been getting a lot of very good bounces and relying a lot on opposition coughing the ball up/special teams, etc.

Week 8 vs Tennessee: won 52-14 despite being outgained 416-225. They averaged 4.8 yards a play, while the Titans averaged 5.9.

Week 9 at Green Bay: won 24-14 despite being outgained 411-261. They averaged 4.7 yards a play, while the Packers averaged 6.6.

Granted I still think they're a very good team, but the scoreboard is not indicative of how well they're actually playing

What is the Lions plus turnover margin this year ? I don’t remember if they were good last year, but I would like to believe so.

Not an insult to how the Lions have been playing, but more just they seem to be "running well"

Goff has been very good, but I wouldn't say he's been the best in the league or anything like that. He has incredible surroundings: best O-line in the game, complimentary plays at RB and WR, TE

And he plays in a dome all year. Only 3 outdoor games for the entire year, and he will only play 1 outdoor game until Week 16 (his first outdoor game was yesterday)

Turnovers are mostly variance. Its almost impossible to predict and not much about turnovers is a good fwrd looking metric.
There are some good stats about how when teams have extremely positive or negative variance with turnovers, the next year is typically the exact opposite. In other words, the Lions will not benefit from plus 1.4 per game next year and they will likely regress

I had a nice futures bet on the 2018 Rams to win the NFC +635

The No-Pass Interference year at Saints in championship game.

First year me and my girl were going out and I had the Ticket for free. Watched every one of their games and was impressed with Goff.

Thought he got done wrong by the Rams/McVey but who can argue with LAR eventually winning SB.

I’m happy for Goff he’s found success in Detroit

That was the first game Goff really looked like an average QB and it didn't matter. The Lions defense and special teams won them that game but I still think they have the upper hand in the NFC because teams will have to come to Detroit in January.
