No such thing as destiny

Unless it's the Buffalo Bills losing to the Chiefs or Bengals in the playoffs every year

I do hope for a great series

Good luck
Yes I hope for a great series also.

I just hope that you do not double down against the C's if they look like they are taking control.

I have learned the hard way not to be married to my picks nor my teams, just like i don't get married to my stock picks and my stock positions. if they start turning against me, i reassess.

i know you think the C's are unclutch and i do not totally disagree.

i just think this time it will be different.

it is their time.

Game is tomorrow

But i will be slamming Dallas after liking Boston in Game 1

Mavs have been atrocious in Game 1’s under Kidd
I already bet this Dallas +7. I'm looking at the ML and the best you can get is +225 on Dallas. I like that for a sprinkle because I think Dallas bounces back here and they do enough to be in position to win the game at the end. Boston has done this nearly every series where they dominate game 1 and look like world beaters then let down in game 2 en route to a loss so I can totally see Dallas winning here. I just hope I don't get buried because I think the whole world will be on this.

There’s a lot of variance with Boston. If they are lighting it up from 3, then they’re going to be tough to beat

If I’m Dallas, I would rather try to gamble and let them beat you closer to the basket instead of give up some resistance on the 3 point arc

My general expectation is that Dallas is going to be more efficient offensively

Kyrie in particular I expect a bounce back game

Boston has struggled at home for years.

not this series.

why? DESTINY.
Boston is the better team. I thought Luka would have more help than he got tonight and in game one in this series but Boston has done a tremendous job of shutting everyone else down and making Luka earn everything he gets. That might change in Dallas but for Dallas to win everybody has to play well and that's not the case for Boston because they're so deep.

Kyrie seems to be lost in his spiritual vibes and energies right now

Don’t think they’re gonna defend home court.

Probably 3-1 going back to Boston, then maybe Celtics pull a classic choke then in Game 5, but they won’t blow the series if they go up 3-1 IMO

Mavs supporting cast has done what I feared — shrunk in the spotlight

@stormtrooper8 I do not believe this is a "must win" for the MAVS tonight but it is pretty darned-close.
I actually think it was a must win

They got the “cold-ish” shooting game from Celtics but couldn’t get it done because Kyrie was high on his spiritual drugs again trying not to be bothered by the clam chowder heads

or maybe the C's are just better than you think this year and you are wrong.
They're a different team than they were in 2022. Older more mature plus they added key pieces like Porzingis and Holiday. Holiday is probably their most important player because he does a little bit of everything and can go off if a guy like Tatum has a mediocre game. This is something they didn't have against the Warriors. If Tatum didn't play well which he didn't against the Warriors they had nobody to pick up the slack. That to me is the biggest difference with this team is they have so many guys that can hurt you that Tatum doesn't have to be perfect whereas Luka almost has to be for Dallas to win.

Teams down 0-2 in the Finals are 5 and 31 so there is technically still a chance, about 14% if you look at the true historical odds.

G3 and G4 are both must-wins now for Dallas. This we know.
