BMR should write to those 28 representatives explaining how licensed bookmakers use every rule designed for player protection against the players.

In particular how licensed bookmakers use the features like self exclusion and deposit limits as a ploy to advertize directly at gamblers with problems. There is no other reason for paying for adverts to sell those points to attract normal gamblers.

It seems Australia did it by blocking websites , so it can be done, and doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult, the DOJ just has to ask the isp to block the sites

As such, it requested that Australian internet service providers (ISPs) block each of the websites.


Since the ACMA made its first blocking request in November of 2019, a total of 447 illegal gambling sites have been blocked in the country.

In addition, a further 160 illegal services, including operators and affiliate businesses, have pulled out of the Australian market since the ACMA began enforcing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017.

“Website blocking provides a valuable opportunity to alert the public to illegal gambling services through the messaging that appears when there is an attempt to access the site,” the ACMA said.

That would really suck. I've tried using VPN to access my books and it fails. So, unless there are VPNs to work around this, I guess we'd be screwed.
