0-2 -1.45 yesterday.

Javier (HOU) only pitched 3.2 innings. He really pitched poorly, well below his recent performance level. Lost the F5 bet. And I'm sure everyone watched the Oilers pi$$ away a 2 goal lead in the 3rd for the 2nd loss of the day. :duh:

I'm seeing quite a few plays come up on the board today in MLB. I'm going to try to be a little more selective and find the best ones. Might be a lot of juice on some of these....

Ariz @ Cincy. 6:40 ET CIN -141

Starting Pitching:
Gilbert (ARI) Seems to have a reoccurring bus ticket to/from AAA. He's been up and down more than the stock market. Unfortunately, this might be his last trip to the show. Arizona signed Dallas Keuchel. Gilbert has had 2 starts and the last one didn't fare to well giving up 6 ER to the Dogers in 5.2 innings. His is the 5th rated starting pitcher on the team (per ERA).

Ashscraft (CIN) meanwhile has performed exceptionally well. 1.52 ERA, 0.68 ERA at home in 3 starts. Ashcroft is currently the #1 pitcher on the Reds.

Batting:
Cincy is 5-5 in last 10 games but they are putting up some runs ~5/gm to Arizona's 3 runs/gm in last 10. Cincy is in top 5 in hitting over last 7 days (0.299 avg) and Ariz is in the bottom 5 (0.188 avg)

Relief Pitching:
The one edge Ari may have is in relief pitching. Neither team has used up their bullpens recently but Arizona has better relievers.

Misc:
Diamondbacks are on a 3 game losing streak.
RF Naquin (CIN) is out so there is a small hole to fill in the lineup. Hopefully, we see Almora instead of Aquino in that spot.

I like the Reds in this one CIN ML -141

we'll bounce back today tanko. i like the reds too. dbacks are trash on the road.

also, have you looked into the cubs game at all? i know the cubs have not been great but neither have the orioles. they also havent beaten the cubs since 2008...i've been eyeballing cubs -111 (BetOnline). what do you think?

I'm leaning cubs.
I'll move it up the list for review so that have some analysis soon.

Cubs vs Orioles 7:05 ET Cubs -111

Starting pitching:
Thompson (CHI) (1.99 ERA, 2.35 ERA on road) has been pitching exceptionally well. He typically has been only going 3-4 innings. His last two starts went 5+ and it was in the last game against STL that he gave up 3 ER, the highest this year in any game. I think he will do well as long as the Cubs don't stretch him out too far into the 5th or 6th inning.

Bradish (BAL) (6.82 ERA, 6.29 ERA at home) is going to give up some runs. He's given up at least 2 ER in each appearance and is averaging 3.5 ER/appearance.

Batting:
Someone has lit the Cubs bats on fire. They are league leading 0.311 in the last week. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games and are averaging 5 runs/gm. They faced 2 very good teams, division leaders MIL (4 gms) and STL (5 gms) so the 4-6 record is not too suprising.

Baltimore is in the MLB bottom 5 at 0.191 avg over the last 7 days. They also went 4-6 in the last 10 but faced CLE, SEA, BOS (combined records < 0.500).

Relief Pitching
Cubs bullpen might be used up a little more with the double header they played Saturday but w/ yesterday off, they should be ok. Baltimore clearly has a better bullpen so when it gets to that point, I think things get tougher for the Cubs.

MIsc:
Heyward taking over for injured Suzuki in right field hurts cubs bats a little (0.245 avg Suzuki and 0.211 for Heyward).

Cubs bats will need to make some runs early in this game against Bradish. The Oriole bullpen might limit their opportunities.

CUBS ML -111 is my play.

Blue Jays vs Royals 8:10 ET

Starting Pitching:
Manoah (TOR) 1.98 ERA, 2.17 ERA on the road. Pitching very well. Last outing he did give up 3 ER but this was due to stretching him too far into the game. All 3 runs were in his 8th inning of work.

Keller (KCR) 4.15 ERA, 2.43 ERA at home. His home ERA is great but his performance over the last 30 days (5 starts) has seen his ERA balloon from 2.70 to 4.15. He has been regularly giving up runs in those appearances (4, 6, 4, 3, 5 ER).

Batting:
TOR batting is 0.302 avg the last 7 days (4th in MLB). KC batting is 0.199 avg (24th in MLB). Toronto is averaging 7 runs/gm in their last 10 games. KC is averaging 3.5 runs/game in their last 10.

Relief Pitching:
I see this as a toss up. Both bullpens are about even and both teams have decent relievers fresh to pitch.

This one is a juicy ML so we're looking at the RL. In the last 10 games the Royals have lost, they've lost by 2 or more runs in each game.

In the last 10 games Toronto has won, they've won by 2 or moe in 6 of those.

Toronto RL -1.5 -145

NY Mets vs San Diego 9:40 ET

Starting Pitching:
Walker (NYM) 2.88 ERA, 2.81 on road. Pitching well and improving the more games he pitches. ERA has dropped from 4.91 to 2.88 over the last month. Averaging ~1.5 ER over 6 innings in his last 5 starts.

Darvish (SDP) 4.03 ERA, 1.71 ERA at home. Loves to pitch at home. He can have a great game or a disaster. Last 5 games 2, 5, 0, 2, 5 ER.

Batting:
Mets 0.283 avg over last 7 days (8th in MLB). Padres 0.230 avg over last 7 days (19th in MLB).
Mets averaging 6.5 runs/gm in last 10 games. Padres averaging 4 runs/gm in last 10 games.

Relief Pitching:
Toss up on the relief pitching. NYM may have used up a little more of their bullpen the last couple days but, it looks like an even match for pitchers out of the bullpen.

Misc:
Mets do well on the road 19-11 this season. Padres are 13-11 at home.

With the better starting pitchers and bats and a toss up on bullpen, I like the + odds with the Mets tonight.

I think the + money on TB for the series is an easy play if you believe TB wins tonight. At 2-2, TB has to return to series favorite.

If you wait for TB to win tonight, you'll be paying a higher series price mañana.

Good luck Le.
I'm on Tampa Bay as well. Its pricey but I think its the correct play.

I had added this play in another thread.
Also, my Detroit U7 got killed due to pitcher change.
