Kelly (ARI) is pitching a little better than Cabrerra (MIA) but its the Arizona bats that I like today. In last 7 days Diamondbacks are (AVG 0.311, WRC+ 150, wOBA 0.400). Marlins are not as stout (AVG 0.251, WRC+ 79, 0.287 wOBA). When you look closer at the H/A stats, the Diamondbacks edge is still very good (AVG 0.292 vs 0.237).

Rodriguez (DET) has been pitching very well his last 4-5 starts. Bettenfield (CLE) although good, not at the level of Rodriguez. Detroit has also been on fire the last 7 days (AVG 0.334, WRC+ 114). Cleveland bats have been anemic (AVG 0.231, WRC+ 43) over the same period.

Winner
Rodriguez pitched a gem going 7 innings. Tigers bats were alive early.

Going with Cole again but the real reason I like this play is that NYY bats have picked up a little of late. NYY are still in bottom half of MLB for the season but have moved into top 5 in WRC+ (#1) and OPS (#3) over the last week so I'm hoping we get a few more runs production out of them today.

Granted a couple of the recent NYY games were against the lowly A's so their bat stats may be a little squewed.

It is steep but I'm leaning on the momentum the Yankees are bringing to the plate The problem is, like I said, most of that momentum came vs A's so.......

Just missed the two F5 plays yesterday. Very disappointed.
But, the Cubs did come through and win the game for a nice dog hit to minimize the pain.
