Thursday night: La Tech vs W. Kentucky

La Tech is 2-1 at home with the only loss to N. Texas which they could have easily won after a crazy 4Q that saw 33 pts scored and a last second 61 yard FG from N. Texas.
La Tech should slow down W. Kent scoring...
W. Kentucky is in the bottom 20% in 3 out of 4 categories: O-rush, D-rush, D-pass yards/gm. The only thing they do half-way decent is pass the ball. Guess what.... pass defense is the one thing La Tech does very well (Top 20% in def passing yds at 155 ypg). La Tech should keep them from easily scoring in the air.
When La Tech plays against teams that cannot run (teams with <150 ypg rushing) and only focus on passing game they win (2-0).
La Tech scoring:
Granted La Tech offense isn't exactly good but, with the horrible defense that is W. Kentucky, La Tech should see the end zone regularly. Their 4Q performance (23 pts) vs N. Texas (similar to W. kent defensive ratings) shows they can move the ball and score quickly.
I'm taking the pts and not the ML since W. Kent has shown a little life the last two weeks vs Troy and Middle Tenn St. but, again those teams did not have a good pass-D like La Tech.
