Why I like this game (waaaay down the card)....

I'm a big believer in stats. I use KenPom and a number of other stat databases to generate what I see as edges. KenPom heavily uses the 4 Factors to create scores which has proven to be a very accurate method over a season for determining who will win games. I utilize his 4 factor data slightly differently to look for the edge but I still use that data.

Here's the 4F data I have for this game. The orange is Offense data, the light green is Defense data.
The bright green indicates which team has an edge in each stat with the actual stats data in the bottom table.

KenPom estimates the score at 70-68 Rider. My messaging of the data indicates the spread will be closer to 4-5. When you combine that with the current line at Rider +1 and Rider at home, this became a play on my card.

Terrible pick. Houston just kept pounding them the whole game. Butler never made a run.

Was an ebb and flow game Mike....

TCU well in control and then gave up the lead late just to come back and score 7 stright points for the win. The Xavier turnovers the last 1:30 really screwed them. I think they would have won if they avoided them.

On another note, the TCU HCA does not seem to be as strong as I've seen in prior years. That place was half empty. I know its a private school and finals may be coming up but, dayam, it was empty. I've been there when the house was a rocking.
