Hey Tanko its good you and I were on the right side of this one last night. I took Bucks first half because I think they definitely wanted a send a message and boy did Giannis make a statement with his performance. I would love to see this matchup in the playoffs because these teams don't like each other very much from the coaches on down and that's how it should be in sports imo.

Thanks everyone. I think the Bucks sent a message.
Did you all see the post game issue with the gameball?

Giannis wanted the gameball for setting franchise record but so did the Pacers rookie who score his first NBA points (Oscar Tshiebwe).

As happy as I am for a former Kentucky great getting his first NBA points the Pacers were in the wrong for taking the game ball to give to him. This was in Milwaukee's home arena so its customary for them to let the home team get the game ball and in this case give it to Giannis for setting the franchise record for points scored in a single game. This bears watching because as I pointed out these two teams already don't like each other so it just adds to the rivalry that's brewing between these two.

Do you guys remember the in season semi-final with the Pacers/Bucks last week????

I'm betting Damian Lillard does because Tyrese Halliburton did a little disrespcting of Mr. Lillard during the game. Tyrese did a "Dame Time" celebration during the game. I don't think it went over well with Damian. During Damian's interview after the game he mentions, "Its all cool" but then says.... "When your time comes its best to be humble"...

I'm betting Damian puts it to Tyrese tonight.
Great minds think alike. The Revenge was on Tank. We were both on the same side. Pacers beat them twice. It wasn't gonna happen at home. Lost my total on Houston under yesterday. Gave these both out on the podcast. But I did hammer Bucks -6 1/2. You can't go around disrespecting great players.

Good find

Should've tailed

Pacers are overvalued frauds
The Pacers are actually a good team because they're really elite offensively. However they couldn't stop 5 of us posters from scoring on them. They poked the bear and Giannis feasted on them. So did AD and the list goes on and on. This style won't work in the playoffs and thats when we can make money fading the Pacers.

I wouldn't call them "elite" offensively.

They play a brand of basketball that is going to lead to higher scoring games. Haliburton is playing very well but I think he is due for some regression. The rest of the roster is pretty trashy

They are the middle of the back team. Their ceiling is first round playoff exit, and that's more a result of the back half of the East being shit.

Probably a play-in team

They'll make the playoffs in the East imo. That conference is trash and they only have to stay in the top 6 to make the playoffs which I think is very doable. If you look at offensive metrics they have a very high offensive efficiency rating which speaks to how good their offense is. Basically though they just run you to death and it leads to easy buckets. As for Haliburton I love this guy I think he will continue to play at a high level and lead this team to the playoffs because he's tired of losing which has been the story of his career in Sacramento and up until now in Indiana.

Honestly you're probably going to see a lot of regression beyond Haliburton. Hot shooting and fast pace isn't gonna work all year

If you watch them play, that's really all it is. IST Championship was a prime example

They lost last night because they ran into a good team on the road.

Still shocked that line was 6.5. Good find

Boston, Milwaukee, Miami, Philadelphia, and Cleveland are all clearly better than them

So it's going to depend how things pan out with New York, if this Orlando thing is legit, and dealing with a plucky Brooklyn team. Atlanta/Toronto could turn it around too

They "could" get that #6 slot but more likely going to have to be a play-in team

I've watched them play plenty since I have the league pass but you're right they do play with extreme pace. I think their style can work in the regular season when teams aren't interested in playing defense for 48 minutes but in the playoffs they won't be able to sustain it. As for the line I think the Bucks weren't laying more because of the previous two losses they had to the Pacers. Just a guess but if the Bucks won one or both of those matchups the spread would've probably been higher with them being at home and playing better lately.

They're 5th right now but there's so much basketball left to be played that you could be right in the end. I do stand by my prediction that the Pacers get to the playoffs this year though because they're well coached and Haliburton is a superstar who is hell bent on getting his team to the playoffs this year.

Yeah I mean it's December. Hell, Orlando would host a playoff series if it all ended today

Orlando and Indiana don't have the horses to beat any of those 5 teams in a 7-game series

Haliburton I wouldn't put into superstar category yet, but that's subjective of course

I'm not saying Indiana will win a playoff series but I think they make it in the postseason tournament because that conference is so bad and I get the feeling they're very similar to Sacramento last year. Last year's Sacramento team was probably better than this team since they were the 3rd seed in a stacked Western conference but this Indiana roster has the look of a team that's ready to take the next step which for them is making the playoffs.
