Are you fluent in Vietnamese? So you can understand what they're saying in the movie?View attachment 16442
Vietnamese comedy about a lottery ticket.
I’m not fluent by any means but I can speak Vietnamese. “Fluent” is very subjective. Many Americans aren’t fluent in English, when it comes to idioms it's difficult for me. In the North where I live we speak different with a different tone than the south. There are also different vocabulary words they use in the south. Most actors and movies are made with the southern accent. I can understand but certain things a little confused. However , I can have full conversations etc , my Vietnamese is good. I speak with a lot of Northern slang. People are impressed here because its so hard to learn. There are foreigners here that speak way better than me. Most girlfriends I have had have 0 English. I prefer to speak only Viet but the Viet people that know english like to speak english to me. I always tell them to speak Vietnamese. They laugh and are surprised. I would say 95% of foreigners that live here don't know the language. Are you fluent in Vietnamese? So you can understand what they're saying in the movie?
Thanks for the response and hopefully I'll see you in OctoberI’m not fluent by any means but I can speak Vietnamese. “Fluent” is very subjective. We get movies "usually" a week earlier than America. Mission Impossible was out 8 days before America. The theaters are much nicer than anything I have ever seen in America. There are 5 different choices of theaters and seats. It is a great experience. I go to 3-4 movies a month. The different theaters have different prices. I usually go to Gold Class which is the reclining chair or Lamour which is the bed. The only issue is and it drives me crazy and it is the closest I have been into a fight here. People talk during the whole movie, they will answer their phones too, their ringer goes off with the beeping sound for texts they get too. It is miserable but I am so used to it now. I used to talk shit and I would talk shit to them in Vietnamese which really throws them off once they see I am a foreigner, 99% of the time they shut up a couple of times it continues and I continue to talk shit to them. This was for about 6 years I would do this, it is a no winning battle now because so many people do it, I just ignore it. The movie was really funny. Here are some pictures of the theaters. Vietnam is not what most people think. Everything is new and modern and very very nice and well taken care of. The link to our movies is here as well. Another very interesting thing and it is the same in China, they only sell sodas or water and popcorn, no candy, a bit weird since it is different in America. All the theaters are assigned seats too, there is no open seating, people pay before and pick the seats usually on their phones before they get there. We have 26 CGV different theaters in my city and the other company there are 18 , we have 44 theaters here. Movies are crowded 7 days a week and they start around 8:00am for some and go to around 12am.How was the movie?
What is their new movie release-rate over there compared to states?
What about the theaters?
Asking these questions because my daughter and I are big on new movies & the theaters

They come with a a fresh clean blanket and pillows, they are great for dates or girlfriends etc etc. There have been a few times you see on the news someone gets ousted out for having sex in the theatre but not often, sometimes if it is an off time and maybe not many people but everything is on CCTV.
