The betting line and total hadn’t moved much Sunday in the hours leading up to kickoff of Super Bowl 60 when a BetMGM bettor made a $1 million wager on the New England Patriots (+4½) over the Seattle Seahawks at -105.
The Seahawks remain consensus 4½-point favorites over the New England Patriots — with the South Point the only book at -5 — and the total is 45½, with Circa Sports the only book at 45.
Station Casinos has taken three six-figure wagers on the Patriots on the money line. The largest was placed Saturday at Red Rock Resort for $315,000 to win $645,750 at +205. On Sunday, Green Valley Ranch took two $100,000 bets to win $200,000 each on New England on the money line and a $110,000 wager to win $100,000 on under 45½.
“We continue to see some Seattle money on the point spread at -4½ and people that like the Patriots are really heavy on the Patriots money line,” Red Rock Resort sportsbook director Chuck Esposito said. “We’re still in a position where the best-case scenario for us is the Seahawks win by 1 to 4 but don’t cover.”
The ticket count at Station is 64 percent on the Seahawks against the spread, 62 percent on the over and 50-50 on the money line.
The Westgate SuperBook also took some major wagers on the New England money line after moving it to +220 to entice action.
“We’ve been seeing what it sounds like most of the books are seeing, which is a lot of Seattle, so we did start raising the money line on New England and we took some big bets on the New England money line in the last 90 minutes,” Westgate vice president of race and sports John Murray said at 1:30 p.m. “It’s helped us balance our position a little bit. We took some money at 220, 219, 218 and now we’re at 210. We might inch it back up. We still want some more New England.
“It’s just such a one-way run of Seattle money the last 24 hours. Seattle winning but not covering is also good for us.”
South Point was at -5 most of the week before dipping to 4½ on Saturday and moving back to 5 on Sunday afternoon.
“We went back to 5 and now they’re taking the 5. It’s a lot of back and forth,” South Point sportsbook director Chris Andrews said. “To tell you the truth, we’re all over the place. I really don’t know what we’re going to need. We’re writing a ton of business. It switches all the time. Whatever is the last bet.”
A Caesars Sportsbook bettor in Nevada wagered $200,000 to win $83,333.33 on Sunday on the Seahawks money line (-240).
Hard Rock Bet, which doesn’t operate in Nevada, took a $100,000 four-leg same game parlay to win $1,044,479.90 that it posted Sunday on X. The legs were Seahawks -4½ first half, Seahawks -4½ full game, Seahawks over 25.5 team total and Patriots over 20.5 team total.
Hard Rock Bet, based in Florida, also reportedly took a $280,000 two-leg parlay to win $1.62 million on the Seahawks -4½ and Patriots over 20.5 team total.
Fanatics Sportsbook, which doesn’t operate in Nevada, took a $1 million bet to win $1.9 million on New England on the money line (+190) in late January from model Kendall Jenner, who will star in the book’s first Super Bowl ad. In response to her bet, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, Jenner’s ex-boyfriend, wagered $1 million to win $800,000 at Fanatics on Seattle -3½ (-125).
