I swear EVERYONE from WV knows that song…they sing it after saying the pledge of allegiance I think.

Growing up not far from Jamboree in The Hills - also got used to hearing it ad nauseam every 3rd week in July.

Usually there are like 3 states you can immediately tell if someone is from - Texas, Jersey or WV - accents give it away.

This song will live forever from generation to generation.

It mentioned WV, but the lyrics and meaning are universal to everyone away from their home, which makes it easy to connect to the song.
