My daughter was conceived on this, my favorite Holiday. I was born on Halloween, but that will always be secondary. It is all the more sweet when March Madness falls properly. This year, my Wife's half sister is getting married. Can't say I am happy about not having complete free reign and debauchery this year, but it does give me a legit excuse to expand the party to the people around me!
The best St Patrick’s Days for me in NYC were always when it fell on days there were tournament games. The Manhattan bars were all packed, and was extra-electric when a somewhat local college was in the tournament, such as St John’s, Iona, Fairfield, Hofstra, etc.

DC/NoVA always goes nuts with Georgetown, Maryland, American, Mason, JMU etc. I was a student at George Mason when they made the Final Four while paving the way for many Mid-Majors. I was at Capital One Arena/Verizon Center with the big OT win over UCONN that year. Man it was awesome. Still can't imagine spending thousands vs. a couple hundred to advance one game further.
