I saw this on another site,

Teams who started the season unranked and finished in the top 10 of the AP poll, earning a 1 or 2 seed in the tournament are a combined 0 - 37 when it comes to making it to the final 4!!

This year : St Johns & Michigan St

63% (15 of 24) of those 1 or 2 seeds did not survive the opening weekend.

Just something I saw I personally have both of those winning the tournament on different brackets and then have some keeping them out of the final 4 and some getting knocked out early.

Disagree. They have been extremely lucky. 11 out of their last 13 wins have been by 1 or 2 possessions. They are pulling out close wins at a rate that seems unsustainable.

I think their luck runs out vs Auburn.
