For many - it’s the smartest move to be made right now and for the first few weeks of football.

Everyone says it - baseball season is a grind. Yet few of us listen - we think if we are doing well - just keep doing what we are doing. Books however fall back on years of experience - where most bettors have the memory of a goldfish, books know nothing is constant.

It’s why most bettors lose back their winnings from a big streak - they think it worked before so keep doing it and eventually it will work again.

I’m probably shutting down most of my baseball betting - no more 2-3 games a day. Occasionally something will stand out and I’ll make a play.

Same with football - we THINK we know how teams will do weeks 0-4, but inevitably we will have misjudged a couple. Someone will start 2-2 or worse who we thought would be 4-0 and someone will start 4-0 we thought would be 2-2. Bet small and play dogs these first few weeks - and remember pre-season is meaningless for most stats - but there some valuable clues.
