Both teams lost four of their top five minutes producers from a year ago. In College Football, defense trumps offenses when teams break in new starters, but in basketball, it’s the other way around. Both teams play at a fast tempo and should be able to crack each other’s defensive formations. The Cyclones have a decent defense on paper because they haven’t played anybody. Iowa’s is an offensive-minded team that doesn’t play great defense. Ben Krikke has been a great addition to the Hawkeys team.
