BONDI’S BEST BETS
WYOMING (+6) over Fresno State 8 P.M. ET
We are five full weeks into the college football season, so we have some tangible evidence as to which teams are underrated and over-rated and our num-bers tell us that undefeated Fresno State’s sparkling 5-0 record is a mirage. Not only did the Bulldogs need OT to beat the lone FCS opponent, Eastern Washington, on its schedule, the four FBS teams they have beaten (Nevada, Arizona State, Kent and Purdue) are a combined 4-16 and the win over the Sun Devils was tainted since ASU was down to a fourth-string walk-on quar-terback. We have the Fresno State schedule, thus far, ranked 108th out of 133 teams in the country this year, which sets up a nice best bet here on the Cowboys, who have gone 4-1 with impressive wins over Texas Tech (as a two-touchdown underdog) and Appalachian State, while hanging tough at Texas before running out of gas and allowing 21 points in the fourth quarter. Laramie is always a tough place to play and the Cowboys have covered five of their last six when posted as a home dog. The way we see it, this is a match-up of two dead-even teams so let’s take the generous points. Cowboys! 27-20
