1 Cor 8:1 Now concerning food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes conceited, but love edifies. 2 If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know 3 but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.
Paul is dealing with their fear (concern) not the food itself.
You bring forth the first part but not the second.
You are trying to control what is coming at you with your strength and your wisdom.
Do you want to see your fear?
The good on the tree of death is still the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
When you think you know something you cannot love God the only way Paul says you can love Him.
It is in that 'but'.
Intercourse.
I am giving you this because of your 1 Jn 3:1 passage.
