The issue isn’t funding a white OWNED landscaper - it’s finding a crew of 4 white (or any race) of USA born citizens who won’t steal your shit, hurt themselves or others and sue your ass for workers comp or otherwise prove to be far more trouble than they are worth as a business owner.

Worked with a lot of roofing/restoration/auto body and landscaping contractors in my day - almost always the owner is American and fluent in English. The best ones also speak Spanish/Russian and treat employees well and don’t prick them around when it’s time to pay - so they get their pick of workers who are skilled, reliable and profitable.

Why would a citizen want to do this work for $20 an hour when they know they can work the system - fake a disability and get a $1100 monthly SSI check for doing nothing ? Then they’ll drag their ass off the couch a few times enough and steal the cats off your car to supplement uncle Sam’s guaranteed income. The few that will work are taking much less labor intensive jobs flipping burgers or something.

If someone needs work, what is the difference between making $20 an hour doing this work and them making $16 an hour at McDonalds?

If they need a job, they would/should do the work regardless of what it is.
