I'm kinda new and obviously hear about SBR but I was scooping that forum and didn't like it at all and the page seems shit....I just remember my bookie friend talking about that site and another one that was like an online pharmacy or something like that about 10 years ago...
with that being said, wth is that program or better yet what are the basics of how it works? If you pay, what extra features can you get? If its worth it why not...I'm just not into the whole "let's create second class forum users" just because they don't pay
I feel the more, the merrier! Just like my mamma use to say lol
Pretty much the SBR point system gives you points each day and double points each day if you donate $100 to become a PRO member - you can use those points to give to others similar to giving likes to posts here, and can gamble those points in contests and at the SBR sportsbook/poker room etc.
So, the points are fun to gamble with and the contests software is fun too to create pools and head to head pools etc, for example the contest Rudy just had with me could have been done with the SBR contest software and Tanko wouldn't had to help us keep score since the SBR software would do it automatically and award out the water amounts too - hopefully BMR can copy the SBR contest software, it's a fun app.
As for the other site The Rx, they don't have points or the point software either, they have private pools but with no software to keep score there are more possibility for arguments about score keeping and arguments about who holds all the money and awards not being paid out etc.
The Rx has automated score/record keeping if you post your picks in the picks sections, so The Rx is good for serious sports record keeping compared to the other sites.
Oh, and the points at SBR used to be able to buy things etc, so the points are supposed to be worth money, but currently they can't buy much - maybe that'll change in future.
