L.A. DODGERS -130
ANALYSIS: The Dodgers and Padres are coming off a 16-inning marathon, so there will be lots of pressure on the starting pitchers to get deep into the game. The Padres send Yu Darvish to the hill fresh off a stint on the injured list. Before that, he had a 7.13 ERA in his last seven outings, averaging around five innings per start. The Dodgers send Max Scherzer, who has a 2.11 ERA in four games since coming over in a trade. He's only lasted seven innings once in those four starts, but he's much more reliable in general to get deep into a game. Plus, the Dodgers are better and have a deeper bullpen at this point.
N.Y. YANKEES @ OAKLAND | 08/26 | 9:40 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -111
ANALYSIS: The Yankees are riding high with an 11-game winning streak. They had to fly across the country, but had Wednesday off, so they're fresh. Starter Jameson Taillon is on a run in which the Yankees have won eight of his last nine starts. He has a 2.01 ERA in that stretch and six of those nine starts have come on the road. The A's are reeling, having lost eight of their last 10 and they only have a +2 run differential at home all season. Starter James Kaprielian has been good, but the A's have had issues late in the game and the Yankees' offense is averaging 5.5 runs per game during this winning streak.
