Gents I ran the numbers last night and they’re staggering. Even worse than I imagined. Just firing for the hell of it. When there’s no work involved to get money into an account things can get out of hand. When you don’t have to get in your car and drive to western union things can go south in a hurry.


Wasn’t even trying to win. Just firing bullets indiscriminately. 90% soccer the last half a decade, that was probably my downfall. I’d still be down in the last 7 years if it were all football but no where nearly as bad. Thankfully I can afford to lose the money I lost. Never affected my life negatively for the most part. Bills all got paid. Food on the table. Never wanted for anything. Ugly ugly numbers gents. Will be good to get away from it.

If you can afford it, it doesn’t ruin you but at the end of the day it’s pointless. All that cash lit on fire for a few hours at a time of entertainment. You’ve said it many times, gamblers like to lose more than we like to win. It’s the chase of getting it back. Many weeks I could’ve called it a day and won money but wasn’t happy till I pissed it all away. Few weeks ago I was + $3k on the week, ended up -$5900.

Driving to the casino to get a play down and betting at the counter is a good check for me on the impulse front--I am definitely more measured because of it. I also need that physical ticket and the exchange of cash to help keep me sane with it. When it's just numbers on a screen and clicks, I'd become detached too.
