PGA Championship 2024: Scottie Scheffler arrested and charged with felony by Louisville police following Friday incident at Valhalla

A chaotic Friday morning for the World No. 1 included being booked on four charges including assault of police officer, after an incident with Louisville Metro Police while trying to enter Valhalla Golf Club on Friday morning.

He was in a clearly-marked player courtesy car.

According to ESPN there are always a mix of security and police officers right outside tournaments to make it easier for players and essential personnel to get to the course,

Oftentimes players pass these folks to get to the tournament.

Nothing will happen and it’s a shame he deserves six months in jail for that

How many times have we seen on body cam footage a cop claim they were assaulted when nothing happened? The cop will probably stand his ground and claim Scheffler assaulted him just to try and save face because this looks ridiculous right now.

But it would only take a few minutes to stop and talk to the police when he was asked to stop. Identify himself if they don't know him and for sure they will let him pass knowing he's a VIP player.

I could be wrong but I would find it incredible that Scheffler would get physical with a cop.
Hopefully, we see the body cam footage soon. I'm sure ESPN is pressing for it.

The post Bigjay posted has a lot more detail than the original one on ESPN.... It says Scheffler dragged the cop on a car... that'll get you arrested.

If they were still investigating the accident then this is probably what happened but he should have stopped and listened to orders. He made things alot worse for himself
