so easy to find nowadays, just search your favorite show or character or movie or sports team and boom!!!

I try to buy work appropriate ones since I pretty much only show them off at work.

Sammy WTF my 91 years old dad who can’t drive anymore bought a 2018 Nissan Murango for 18k via Hertz. So he wants to sell it so l googled and it’s selling for 23k at dealers lots. I understand about the chip shortage and all but sheer and utter craziness. Thinking l should sell my car and bycicle and Uber. Load up an offshore account and quadruple my money lol.

if it's selling at dealers for 23K, you aren't going to get that on trade in.

However, if he paid 18K in 2018, it sounds like it's worth 17-18K on trade in, which is unheard of.

Cars depreciate so getting 100% value back 5 years later is great

Not looking to trade just off it no use paying insurance and all just sits in the garage. He’s actually going to gift it to my sister in law which works out for me. IRS rules can gift up to 15k without being taxed. So he’s giving her that and each of us 15k to be fair. We plugged it into Carmax offered 16k so close enough to IRS scrutiny
