Sad - as mentioned harness is a tough sport.

Not filled with millionaires like throughbred racing. Guys are seriously small operators in many cases.

Casino revenue helped keep sport alive - but is getting spread thinner and thinner.

Bankruptcy?

The same with Tupperware. Filed for bankruptcy yesterday.

“Unprofitable” - but certainly not bankrupt.

Half owned by Penn Gaming - who is doing well elsewhere across the Midwest.

Likely simply more valuable for the land than the current operation can support. Take the license and sell it or move to a new operation elsewhere in the state at a new - lower cost to operate facility and sell the valuable real estate to redevelop.

I doubt anybody’s gonna buy it and revamp the track. They’ll be housing.
