you look for tee times that are favorable (avoiding wind)

also look more at around the green stats since more greens will be missed
Guys that come to mind for me right away would be Speith, and Berger for their great scrambling. Also Cam Smith for his solid putting overall.

thoughts on them or any others?

Rudy and anyone else capping this.

I looked at the hourly forecast for Thursday and Friday from a wind standpoint. It looks like Friday afternoon is the block you don’t want to be playing in. Gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Still windy on Thursday but not as bad.

These are the last five groups to tee off Friday. Some big names in there including JT, Scottie, Tiger, Cam Smith, Hideki and Berger. If I’m looking at the weather correctly they should play in the worst of the conditions over the first 36 holes.

I like Spieth...his putting is awful lately

I think he lost by 8 shots last week but he lost 7.7 strokes to the field in putting..it was statistically his worst putting performance ever

he said the greens were too slow for him and he is ready for this week

so we will see

Cam smith i think took 3 weeks off after his win? kinda hard to predict if he was practicing or celebrating

no real opinion on berger

paul casey and ancer i already bet on but both could be hurt....casey good around the greens so thats why i like him..however add in the hurt factor plus playing in the group in front of tiger and with bryson, thats a disaster

i couldnt find an overview map with a compass

i dont know how to add a compass to google earth...obviously know where ssw winds are, but zooming in that much per hole, its hard to keep track

looks like those guys playing in wind only on the back few holes will be fine.

should only hurt on 17 (obviously i wasnt factoring in 11/12)

Here’s the Friday morning tee times of the guys who may be catching the beat end of the weather/wind the first 36 holes.

This is the exact reason I like Speith. He said the greens in Austin were the slowest he has played by a foot.

No one has putted better here last decade. His iron and especially wedge game was dialed in last week. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t contend

Rudy, I'm getting into the golf capping a little.
Is there usually any value in making Top20 bets for a tourny? I mean the dead heat rules can really screw you.

damn, jack not playing

i guess he has retired from that
He’s not playing the par 3? Damn. He was doing that pretty recently. I remember when his caddy grandson made the hole in one.

At first I thought you meant he wasn’t playing in the 72 hole tourney but he stopped that years ago

For the Masters I'm on these so far:
Ancer Top 10 tourny finish. 5-1
Hatton Top 10 round 1 finish 5-1

Both are in the morning (low wind 🤞) tee time.

Still looking at a few others.

Can't dabble in fantasy yet. Still learning this sport.

These were going to be my first three bets but I got away from Cam Smith because he should be playing in the teeth of the wind Friday. He’s on fire today. Wish I would have included him in my bets. Berger also playing well. Got off him for the same reason.

Damn. Bigjay, sorry to hear that. But, you got to go with your gut. The wind was a factor to consider.
