enikk you're right that was a novel
pretty sure most of us have issues, so to say "those with substance abuse issues" is weird
it's not a black and white world
Correct, publications throw out that 25% of the population have mental health disorders. That number is complete bullshit and is much much higher. Besides that we are all human and everyone has skeletons in their closet. Anyone that says differently is full of shit.
I would bet a very high percent of forum online posters(myself included) and especially your power posters do have mental health disorders. Whether it is addiction to gambling, porn, alcohol, drugs, ect.,ect, ect.... or mental disorders as defined by the DSM and ICD. Most are just in stable states and you would never know it by our posting. It is more obvious with posters that get in manic states, constantly play the victim, or just are attention whores who only care about themselves.
Lets be honest. Forums thrive off this behavior as does TV. It is the way it is and the way it will always be. Look at the academy awards this week. no one gives a fvck about them anymore but what happened whether it was pre-planned or not went viral and even people that hate that awards shit have been talking about it non-stop. Controversy sells. Reality TV sell. I rather see a bright-minded poster like Rudy helped and hired at BMR and a poster like Slackerdude thrown the fvck out and be the poster child of cheating. I would have Slackerdudes avatar and ghost handles advertised on a wanted sign on the side or top of the forum.
