KC had them on the ropes. Didn’t want to stop the mojo. Defense was tired at that point.

I actually wondered why KC started calling its time outs when it finally got a drive going in the first half. They marched down the field mostly on quick passes to Rice using no-huddle and got to the 14 with 1:03 left. The two time outs they used let SF catch its breath and KC had to settle for a field goal.
