Devers won't take the DH role saying he's staying at 3rd base even though Bregman was signed. Bregman could play 2nd but a youngster (K. Campbell) coming up in Sox minors may make the starting day squad at second.

So much for being a team player.

Bregman much better third baseman

Devers acting like a diva

Back in the day Yanks had a much better SS playing 3rd in the A Rod- Jeter era but it was understood Jeter wasn’t moving before A Rod got there

Damn! Imagine an employee telling his manager "I don't want to change positions".

Rebuilding with a drama in Red Sox office.
Devers does have a huge contract.
He's in the 3rd year of an 11 year deal worth $331M... That kind of gives him some leverage but he's being an a$$ about this and not looking out for the best options for the team.

This means they cannot do much but bend to his stubbornness.

A potential Jimmy Butler and that NFL 49ers player who doesn't want to play. This is gonna be interesting to follow.

Cora is a pretty good coach. I'm sure he'll work this out somehow. He's got 5 weeks of spring training to get it resovled.

I would not expect the Sox to consider trading Dever's but, if they did, his huge contract might make it tough.

Agreed, this seems like something Cora can smooth over during spring training. Dever is locked in long-term over what's likely a 1 year deal for Bregman, so a compromise will be made.

Speaking of Tito I didnt know he was back coaching with Reds

thought he was having health problems and left his last managerial job because of that
He's got his work ahead of him in Cincy. 77 wins last year and 78 O/U projected this year......
He'll probably beat that total though depending upon how the GM moves players around.

I see the Cubs or Brewers winning that division with Cincy coming in 3rd ahead of Cards/Pirates.

And here is an example of how you handle being moved from your historical playing position.
Altuve going to left field for good of the team.
