Because its literally in the middle of nowhere.

Its kind of creepy, you drive 15 miles off the beaten path thru Amish country, buggies everywhere, kids selling wears on roadside in pants & shirts with traditional Amish look.

Then you see the obelisk over the tree tops, it's still miles away, but it guides you in on the one lane road to the J.D. birthplace & museum and children's park! Its a beautiful park, well maintained, with plenty of equipment on the playground & picnic tables for all the families and history buffs to hang out and discuss Mr. Lincoln's war of aggression.
