A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR SLOVAKIA
Years ago, we enshrined in the Constitution that marriage is a unique union between a man and a woman.
Last Friday, a constitutional majority of members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic adopted further significant changes: Slovakia recognizes only two genders – male and female; parents should have a say in what their children are taught in school.
And most importantly, we enshrined that in ethical and cultural matters, Slovak domestic law takes precedence over international law.
We know very well what our historical roots are and what we must guard with our lives in order to survive.
