Reported this morning in critical condition.

Was watching on TV last night - the look on Counsell’s face as he came out onto the field and the reaction of players told you how bad it was - despite announcers kind of downplaying it at first.

Thoughts for the guy - drinking or not, no one goes to a ballgame and expects to witness this. Doubtful it was a suicide. Does bring to mind though the lady who took a header from the exterior the Shoe a year ago in Columbus. What posses people to do something so thoughtless and stupid endangering others is beyond me.

Saw someone reportedly sitting a couple of rows back from him, said he was toasted. had torn his shirt off the inning before, had poured beer over himself, etc. He was with a friend and a girlfriend and didn't do it on purpose

So maybe the reason it looked like he was limp over the railing not defensive trying to break his fall or twist so his head wouldn’t hit first

Yea - reading more on the story.

Kid was a football player - played HS at S Allegheny and came up here to Walsh his freshman year before going down to Wheeling Jesuit last season.

Said he was drinking and excited the Pirates were starting to rally - jumping and pouring beer on himself. Clearly drunk and had been over served. Regardless - he’s a 21 year old kid and cannot imagine what his family is going through right now.
