No I was thinking about the food@BMR Genie
Hahah
@BobbyFK they say “Po” in the Philippines, it’s not a food. You may be thinking of “Phở” which is from the land of Christ.

Nice! Thanks for sharing the photo, QL.If you've ever called Customer Service for Amazon, chances are your call went to this building. It's the Amazon Customer Service Center in Cebu, Philippines. It's right near Ayala Mall in Cebu City.
Cebu is one of the major call center locations for many companies. One of the things that makes it so desirable is like was mentioned before, the people speak English and they work for cheap. Cebu also has a great Internet infrastructure which can be lacking in this country.
In addition to speaking English, many Filipinos also speak Spanish which is helpful to so many people who speak that language around the world.

I stayed about 200 m from there when I visited last January. I would go to Ayala Mall for the restaurants and banking. They even had a nice supermarket there. A Taxi stand was there too. Very convenient.Nice! Thanks for sharing the photo, QL.
I'm glad you like and enjoy the PH, QL. In the long run, you might end up finding a Filipina gf.I stayed about 200 m from there when I visited last January. I would go to Ayala Mall for the restaurants and banking. They even had a nice supermarket there. A Taxi stand was there too. Very convenient.
My airbnb was $35 a day. I'm thinking about staying there for a month or two every year. I can use it as a base for traveling to other SEA countries.

Yes, I can say it's common in the PH, RD. We do it "believing" it will counter a negative remark.I saw Genie replied “Knock on the wood” to someone’s post the other day. Is that what they do in the Philippines? Do they knock on the wood?
PS- Asking since my wife is half-Filipino. Think I might be missing a custom here…
Good for you, QL! But try to filter them thoroughly and remove in the ratio the gold diggers. That's the #1 rule.Oh I have a few already that I still keep in touch with!
