So this fukkin Democrat controlled sleaze ball of a local city government says that no new tobacco licenses in the city will be given out.

Additionally , any cigar lounge or bar in the city whose tobacco license was "grandfathered" in, will die with the owner of the license this, no transfer of the tobacco license will take place.

Meaning, if the owner of a cigar lounge or bar with a license to smoke in their establishment passes away the license dies with them.

On top of that, if the owner sells the business to someone else, that license does not transfer to the new owner.

Basically , in Philly, if you have a bar or lounge with a smoking permit you can't pass it on.

So here's the situation here now...

There are bars and lounges in the city that have a permit to smoke because they were grandfathered in.

Anyone seeking to open a bar or lounge now is fukked because no new permits will ever be issued.

Additionally , even the businesses you attempt to buy, grandfathered in or not, the permit will not be transferred to you.

This is because Democrats have made the city a pay for play operation.

Honest business people get fukked.

This is totally unconstitutional but what do Democrats care?

And that yet another reason why the Democrat Party needs to go extinct.

More liberal Democrat logic....

The city says you can't walk within 10 feet of a store front while smoking a cigar walking down the street...

But it's perfectly acceptable to do so if you're smoking a joint.

Why not just simply convert the license to an LLC ? That way no longer tied to the lifetime of the holder ?

Lots of state license like this - they can’t be transferred on sale - must be re-applied for and granted approval by issuing authority. Common tactic to both control “public nuisance” business and to line local counsel persons pockets.

Because the city Democrats blocked that, too.

Great way to attract investment isn't it?
