Raiders are more likely to suck because of other aspects of the organization than because of Carroll. There were a lot worse options than him.

He probably is the second-best hire this offseason.

Coaches never won a championship in any sport only Hall of Fame players do

But you could put together a team of Hall of Famers and when they lose you maybe perhaps begin to to start to think about how the coach has a bigger role than you realize.

Brah.

Add to that the pervasive concept of parity and you might even realize that in some cases, more than one for sure, the difference between the winner and the loser of the championship game is coaching.

On top of that you can even consider that some better players are attracted to better coaching and at that point you realize that there is a forest of interwined cause and effect here and not just the struggling sapling of a tree that is your brain.

Raiders better have an understanding with him that whoever he hires to be his coordinators that one of them takes over after he leaves because he's obviously not going to be around long term.

Only the media is talking about "Brady's influence," when the reality is the owners don't really listen to anyone...Jerry Jones is the number one example of this and the Davis family is number two.
LV has the worse roster in the league as once you get past Bowers and Crosby, all you can talk about are the two kickers.
The local talk is focused on Russel Wilson as apparently he and Carrol have reconciled. Mahomes, Herbert, Nix and Wilson (or fill in the blank) in the division and the result is LV easily under seven wins for years to come although no one will be paying them very much attention as what team is less relevant than the Raiders?

If you want to wade in the weeds you can. But that wasn’t the question. It was about head coaches and their resumes. I don’t remember every coordinator who has won a Super Bowl/NCAA championship because most of them get another job and get fired.
