Seattle's coach looks like a genius man. They revamped that whole team after Pete's departure. Like wtf was he thinking that his x QB in Seattle was gonna be a good fit for the Raiders. Geno Smith is not a very good QB IMHO. And how in TF does Sam Darnold get the boot in Minnesota after winning 14 games there the year before. It all came down to the economicsUpper management in Seattle looks like geniuses. Pete was washed and the Raiders fell for it.
Seattle’s coach didn’t hire himself. Upper management got rid of a washed Pete and brought in another defensive mind. Getting Darnold also looks good. Pete could have had Darnold instead of Geno. Darnold was a free agent. No different than New England brass getting rid of Mayo for Vrabel. Tough decisions require guts and the ability to handle the criticism that comes with it. Pete is the main character here. He wasn’t flailing in Seattle, he just was getting passed by the young bucks in the division(McVay and Shanahan). Seattle saw that and made a move.Seattle's coach looks like a genius man. They revamped that whole team after Pete's departure. McDonald made it look too easy.Sure Carroll didn't make smart moves but, I'd give Macdonald a lot of the credit.
That defense was amazing.
The big question is, who will be the new OC.
