People don't understand how old 58 years is in a sport like boxing. Philly if you are over 40 go back to the gym and spar with some 20 year old. Fighting is a young man's game.
Almost everything is a young man’s game

I know there are things my mind tells me I can do - things I did with ease in my teens and 20s - until I actually attempt them

So did Cus D'Amato in relationship with Tyson but could he have beat him in a fight went Tyson was 20?
Tyson is and was a specimen. JP is a clickbait clown who happens to work out a lot. As Philly stated, let Tyson get one good punch in and JP will be a dead fish on the canvas. Champs are champs, plus haven't you fuckers even seen the Rocky movies...

Rocky movies are great but they are make believe.

Could give a shut less personally about either really.

Tyson doesn’t need to prove that older fighters can keep up - Foreman did that a few decades ago.

But betting good money on Tyson just shows how stupid people are with their money. Does he have a “chance” - sure. Does he have a 30% chance of winning this - no. I’d put it closer to 3% - maybe 5%.

Boxing isn’t chess - strategy is just part of the game.

Debating how much of any I’ll toss on this fight - thinking going all in with what I’ve accumulated in bonus funds from BettorsDen tonight. I bet and win - got another 1100 or so and I’m that much closer to meeting the last 8k of my RO. Lose - well - I scalped out my base long ago and just decided to have some fun with free plays and I’ve accomplished my mission there. It’s been a decent ride and I thought of scalping it out - but every time I try that it bites me in the ass for some reason - so lesson learned.

I didn't bet any money on Tyson but still disappointed he didn't win. The Tyson in his prime would've easily beat Paul.
The Tyson in his prime wouldn't have let this get out of the first round. The problem is he's damn near 60 years old. This fight turned out exactly like I expected Tyson is just too slow to do much of anything now. Jake Paul won but at least he didn't knock out Tyson. Tyson can say that for himself he didn't go down and went the distance just like I thought he might. Of course I think it's very possible that Jake Paul didn't go all out for the knockout because he could have if he wanted to and stopped this version of Tyson halfway through the fight once Tyson started slowing down early on in that third round.

Well - $400 richer this morning thanks to Jake / but yea - would have loved to have seen a vintage Tyson performance.

Age catches up with everyone and Tyson was never the same since coming back from prison - he had the power but not the speed. Paul was smart and didn’t let him get close enough to do any damage and the shortened nature of the fight played to his advantage.

Would be interesting to see how Tyson would fare in a longer bout - sure he’d begin to wear down - but even a gassed Tyson probably hits as hard as most anyone in boxing today.

I will give Paul credit for being a decent white guy fighter. He could probably win a professional boxing match against a 1950s boxer. He is not good enough to beat a legitimate professional boxer past the 1950s.
