@dougtushyterror hope you're doing okay, but if you aren't, here's something that I hope is encouraging. I did a roof repair for Phil Knight's brother in law, who was one of the most successful attorney's in Oregon State history (RIP). I asked him what was his lowest point in his career and how did rebound from it. He explained that as a young attorney, he represented a large Oregon firm, and he knew the case was going badly, but thought the damage was contained. Things went from bad to record bad and he made Oregon State history at that time for losing the largest court case on the books--front page of the Oregonian for all of the wrong reasons. He went home that night and sat in his car with head on the steering wheel, contemplating about quitting and doing something else. His wife pulled into the driveway, spotted him and asked what's the big deal. He told her what had happened, and she responded with "stop feeling sorry for yourself. How many attorneys find themselves in a position to lose the biggest case in history? He changed his perspective and went on to record a legendary legal career, which included being THE attorney for Nike. I got to tour his home on the Willamette river and it was beyond epic.

So I say to you, Dougy, if you need it, how many gamblers find themselves in a position to lose a bet on the scale that you did? How many wish they could have logged a bet to that degree? You're gonna be a-ok and you'll be back before you know it
