They are definitely a dying breed (figuratively and literally). The local I used is still in business. The guy is 70+ years old. I think all of his clients are 60+ yo. No one young uses a local anymore. Why?
1. Online books to easy to use (especially with apps).
2. Locals typically offer more expensive lines than you can get elsewhere.
3. Sometime slow pay you, worse than an online book.

Why use a local?
1. They allow credit (w/ risks).

They are a rare breed I would say, I got a local guy known him for over 15 years and its great, no roll over on deposit bonuses, fast payouts via cashapp and good comunication with him overall very happy with him and wouldn't consider one of this new books

PPH shops are awesome, I im based of Costa Rica and know most of the shops theres some good ones and some bad ones

Vegas is definetely a great option if you have it available, other than that I rather work with a local old school bookie

Oh man you are lucky, I do travel to vegas every now and then but yeah living there makes it much easier.
