Offshore definitely isn’t dying

I mentioned recently that I use legal books in the states/Florida for Live betting, but those Legal books still can’t compete overall with offshore reduced juice and some of their futures/props odds, so i use them for regular bets

I will say though that offshore books need to do more to keep players and even win some back by returning to the old days with more perks, bonuses, and unique offers.
It’s as if they are oblivious to what’s going on and the meaning of competition

Noone's ever going to stop people from doing drugs and betting offshore. Come on
As they shouldn't. I am an advocate of drug use. I think it is a great thing for mankind and everyone has their own choice. As long as you aren't committing a crime or hurting someone doing them, then go for it.

Have you ever thought about a fair, legal system of distributing recreational drugs for the people? Do you think Colorado et al. have the right idea? Will they ever approve harder-hitting drugs?

I don't think it will ever happen in America. I have not followed much lately but I have some friends that have told me that Portland and in Oakland and SF, the laws have changed and of course in Toronto, Portugal etc...... But there is a reason you can go to a Dr. and do legal K or legal MDMA in their office. I have no issue with people doing hard drugs, they should be able to do them. The laws and all that stuff, I don't look into much or care, just my opinion. I actually know nothing about Colorado, when I think of Colorado all that comes to mind is Bradlee Van Pelt.

So are gambling forums - yet here we are.

Fact is simple - offshore IS fading. What that does though is present an opportunity for the best to dominate and the weak to be more easily eliminated.

All that is needed is a more sustainable payment method within countries where they have competition (like the USA). Crypto is working fairly well and unlikely that it can be stopped - unlike prior methods like Neteller that used a single provider.

The strongest 3-5 will survive and serve the US - another few big boys will remain and take the less volatile non US markets. A few niche players will continue to nibble and take market as they can afford to offer something that the big boys can’t.

I suspect in another 30 years - we will look at Las Vegas like we look at the offshore landscape now. We will remember how big it used to be for gamblers - and while it still will exist - it will look much different with 3-5 companies owning everything.

Offshore has been around forever, and they’ll be around forever. The massive advantage they have are no cost.

No cost - you think these forums pay for themselves with all the winners being posted ?

Alot of cost offshore - not the least is advertising/lead referral and payoff to various regulatory offices controlled by friends of the ruling parties.

Of course US based shops face similar cost plus having to maintain a brick and mortar presence. The only cost US licensed books avoid that offshore incurs is processing.

US based books have a larger market available to them - after all the common $50 player now has a choice - play offshore or play at rec sites like DK or FD (or a local casino in many states). Now make that $500 and the value proposition for a player shifts dramatically to offshore and only keeps moving in favor of offshore the higher you go.

Offshore knows the days of handling 1000 accounts wagering 500 a week are over - too hard to find 1000 customers and if your a PPH shop with a cost of $15-20 per week per customer - there is no profit. Better to have 100 players betting 5k a week where you can make a profit. Your fixed cost remain the same - but your margin improves significantly.
