One of the all time Cardinal greats!

On this date in 1953, Hall of Fame pitcher Bruce Sutter was born.
A lights-out closer thanks to his famous split-finger fastball, Sutter set a then-franchise record with 127 saves over four seasons with the Cardinals and closed out Game 7 of the 1982 World Series vs. the Brewers in St. Louis by striking out that season’s home run leader, Gorman Thomas.
The former Cy Young Award winner and six-time All-Star totaled 300 career saves, ranking third on baseball’s all-time list at the time of his retirement and became just the fourth reliever enshrined into baseball’s hallowed ground in 2006.

There is a lot of controversy on what Christ used to eat. I want to set the record straight here.

  • Jesus consumed wine, as evidenced by his miracle of turning water into wine at a wedding and his participation in the Passover celebration, which included fermented wine.
  • Jesus ate meat, as seen through his consumption of fish, serving it to his followers, and his observance of the Feast of Passover, which required the consumption of roasted lamb.
  • Jesus also ate bread, including during the Last Supper, where he ate bread and wine.
  • Jesus may have also consumed other foods such as fruits, vegetables, spices, and possibly freshwater fish like tilapia, as suggested by archaeological excavations and references to garlic, cucumbers, leeks, onions, broiled fish, and honeycomb.

Sex and death go together like - two siblings?

In Greek Mythology, Thanatos (the god of death) and Eros (the god of sex) are brothers. They are always near one another. Sex is a realm where self-destruction and self-creation intertwine.

In French, the word for orgasm is "la petit mort" - literally meaning "the little death".
