They make money off of profit sharing. They get paid by the Yankees and the Dodgers so they make a profit just by having a team. They also get TV revenue. That has been the case with the A's since they put in profit sharing. That was the reason for the whole Money Ball thing. They would not spend money. You don't even need attendance any more to make money in sports. It is all about TV.how does team generate money to pay players and employees. Probably more staff in concessions than fans in stadium
wildly embarassing. And if attendance is low to start the season, imagine when it's mid season and took sucks.
They can get big attendance but the ownership there has been cheap going all the way back to the 1970s when they were the best team in baseball. They've always had a bad stadium and can't get the voters to give them one so they play on a shoestring.
