In cases like this cops should be given the option of shooting to kill the victim, or capturing alive and beat them to death

You guys nailed. It. Cops are low pay and for the most part not given the respect they deserve by the public. No way would I ever go into that profession.

The problem we have, as a result, is often the only people who are willing to fill those roles are often power hungry, overzealous people who abuse the role. That adds to the public tension --> its like a circular effect that leads to less qualified people in law enforcement.

Cops and Teachers should be paid a s#itload more and not treated like dirt.

He was also killed in that interaction.

Based on what I read, he was already down, but someone in the building still continuously firing a gun, that also hit other officers.
