Respect to those who stand up against corruption. Every year, before March Madness, we have thread after thread stating how corrupt the whole selection process is. I guess it just depends on who's doing the accusing.

Seems as tho trashing Josh Allen won't make a lot of sense today. Maybe next week.

They were the 5th best choice to win national title before the 12 teams got revealed

What's that tell you?
i agree.

regardless of whatever you feel about ND, it is 100% weird that they were ranked higher than miami before this weekend and neither team played to lose any ground. add in how the conference championship weekend apparently is not supposed to penalize anyone (alabama) and how the fcuk do the rankings change. it really is weird.

i love alabama but 3 losses and one is to FSU who sucks.

did the committee blow it and not evaluate miami properly all season? are they incompetent? it was the fcuking first game of the season when they beat notre dame. how do you only mention that now in the last rankings? it is just a bad job unless there is more going on.

ACC is NOT a football conference.

That makes it even more embarrassing for the Irish to have lost to Miami and having a schedule softer than the ‘Canes in ACC play.

Some of the schedule they can’t help - as everyone rushes to join the mega conferences- ND and their quest to keep all that money their football team generates got greedy and is now paying for it with weaker opponents.

It’s simple - if you want to be independent and keep every dollar you bring in - fine. But you’re going to need to go damn near perfect every season if you want playoff money too - because your independent schedule isn’t going to get you any traction with the committee when your competing with a school you lost to that year. Doesn’t matter where you rank until the last one.

Tells me people are blindly stupid bettors who cant evaluate odds for shit.

If you were told to pick 5 teams to win it all and you listed ND - you should not be allowed to wager on football.

Same dipshits are probably betting Chiefs SB futures as we speak.

Again - it’s a simple problem for ND to solve - but they can’t/wont.

They can either:

- join a power conference - play 5 top 60 teams every season and a conference championship game and let the results speak for themselves

Or

- continue down this path of independence, knowing their schedule is mediocre and if they lose 2 games - it’s a coin toss that they make the playoffs.

Good wins vs Pitt and USC - losses to 2 playoff teams. It’s pretty clear cut - you played 2 of the teams in and lost to both. It was a toss up between Miami and Notre Dame who had similar cases - but Miami beat ND. End of the day all other things equal - Miami beat them and deserved to get the spot.
