Looked up silver the other day (don’t follow it closely - just buy a little here and there and hold) and saw it’s crossed $75 recently !
Immediately planned to sell a few bars - instead think I am going to change into some junk US coins instead.
Right now the demand is so high that there is a negative premium for pre ‘64 coins - can’t melt them fast enough to get to market - so places will take value in spot less $3-5 to cash in on them.
China seems to be pushing all of this with their new policy towards rare earths - which includes silver. Can’t see these prices staying so high - but $50 is the new benchmark I’d say.
Going to start buying more gold over silver at these prices going forward - but continue buying metals and hold. Won’t be long until the market reacts and gold crosses 5k+.
