I normally create a thread every season tracking eliminator pools and discussing options and strategy. I don't see any other threads, and I'm late to start this, but hey I'm still alive.

My personally pool has 133 entries remaining out of 213 to start. $50 buy in so $10,650 prize pool. The guy does take money off the top, so maybe 10K prize.

I have 2 entries. My strategy this year was not to worry about the future. Typically I plan all weeks out in advance and then adjust as needed. But why plan for week 10 if you get out week 8. Why "save" a team when you never get the chance to use them.

So this year, I only worry about the current week. Figure it out. Survive, advance

Entry 1 I have used....Denver, Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit
Entry 2 I have used...Washington, Dallas, TBAY, Buffalo

Week 5 thoughts......
Rams -6 home to SF. Some say stay away from divison games, or even to avoid TNF on a short week. This is one on my radar though. Not a ton of big favorites this week and SF is beaten up and likely without their top wide out in pearsall. If he officially doesn't play, Rams might be a play

Colts home to Raiders.....Vegas stinks. Losing at home to Bears. Tons of turnovers. Jeanty is finding his groove which I love for fantasy purposes. Colts had a tough loss on road last week. The bonehead moment of the year fumbling the ball at 1/2 yard line cost them the game. Indy is better team and at home. Nice bounce back spot for them

Arizona home to Titans. This will be everyone's most popular pick. Arizona is a team you cannot use often and Tennessee arguably the worst team in the league. The game smells fishy. I don't love Arizona, they aren't a great team. 2-0 beating 2 bad teams and now 2-2. yes they should win and Titans STINK, but idk, feels like a trap.

Lions on the road against CIncy. This is another rule of mine...DONT TAKE ROAD TEAMS. However, Jake Browing is BAD BAD. Lions offense is top 3 in the league. Cincy is just a bad team without Burrow and clearly Chase and Higgins aren't happy.

Bills home to NE. Another popular pick. personally I already used buffalo in both entries, but obviously 4-0 team at home. NE good team, but not enough fire power to keep up

My 2 entries....leaning RAMS, Colts

anyone else still involved? thoughts?

Good luck. I know Franz is also leaning on Rams.

since you used buffalo i personally would go lions and rams.

the 49ers have nothing cause of injuries. on a short week i see them with no motivation to play hard on the road.

the lions are hot. the bengals suck. browning sucks. they need to get winston or wilson asap and let them chuck each game. winston would be fun with higgins and chase. but browning is not beating the lions.

the titans scare me this week for some reason as you said. seems weird.

i also don't like the cards favored by over a td. i know spreads do not matter here but just saying overall.
