Name can be whatever you want, it is HANDLE that will be displayed in standings.

I was concerned that the name has to match my name at the book that I use for the contest.

Not literally required but not a bad idea. We at BMR do not have access to your Splash profile, so we only see the displayed handle.

It told me "hunch" was taken so I used "hunch_bmr".

I logged in with my Runyourpool info.

If you played in prior events on RYP, that may explain why Hunch was already taken... It was you from a contest you entered on RYP.

I did think of that, but it will not let me use the handle hunch, with the same email address log in, it says it is already take.

I was Hunch1 in past BMR contests at runyourpool so probably had same issue then.

I could have reused that, just tried and it'll let me. Not hunch though.

I search the name hunch and also already taken are hunch and 28 other variations starting with hunch, so it's a common handle.
