Ratings: New NBA Tournament Is A Failure

The ratings for the NBA cup are bad.

Stats are terrible, product is terrible & viewership down nearly 30%

Hard to get players to take regular season serious when the 12th man gets 3 years $20M guaranteed.

Mid season tournament a flop.

Theres going to come a time where kids can't relate to these athletes because of the money & unaffordable in person costs.

MLB going thru that now. Twins avg attendance at the Domes last several years is higher than current attendance and I'd state primarily that is due to kids connecting with players.

NBA is milking that new contract because 'sports' is the only form of entertainment not written off (think theatre's, network tv, plays, cinema, etc all dead).

Imaging buying a team for $10 billion & the next TV deal is a 20% cut. This is MLB issue with Ballys CH7 because now they're on the MLB template at a huge discount.
