Since its peak in 2005, NASCAR has seen a gradual decline, with its TV viewership reaching record lows in 2018[8] and race day attendance suffering to record lows as well.[9] Reasons cited for its decline include the aforementioned track changes, the introduction of the Car of Tomorrow which both drivers and fans alike criticized,[10][11][12] the constant tinkering of the rules of its championship and the racing itself,[13][14] the change in its race day experience,[15] the perceived decline in the quality of its racing,[16] NASCAR changing its image to appeal to a more mainstream audience while alienating its southern fanbase[17] and the retirement of its past stars, such as Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards, and others.

Good article. I see filled seats every week compared to other sports.
"Their steal b alot of rednicks arond." :ROFLMAO:
I used to be one of them.

One fond memory of those days...
You used to be able to take a small cooler of beer and a bucket of chicken into the race with you. That was awesome. I remember the first Busch race in Las Vegas when no one knew they couldn't take coolers in anymore. Just outside the entrance there were hundreds of cooler full of beer tossed in a pile that people just abandoned as they entered the gate.

Some people were standing around the coolers guzzling beer as fast as they could and others were pulling their trucks up to the pile and tossing coolers full of beer into their truck beds.

I just think their is too many races. End that shit once September and Football starts up. Similar to many forum posters, too much is not always a good thing. 2 road races were perfect. They are just adding too many and changes Brickyard to a road race instead is criminal for historic reasons
